E.C.S. Platinum MIFARE system is the new version of the E.C.S. Platinum electronic payment system, compatible with MIFARE cards for the payment of products delivered from vending machines.
It has been designed to assure maximum flexibility thanks also to the integrated cash and cashless handling system, by means of connection to coin and bill validators and change giver coin mechanism.
The E.C.S. Platinum MIFARE payment system is connected to a vending machine and can use MIFARE cards for product purchases (i.e. coffee, snacks…), which are delivered from this same machine. These cards can be used by other access control devices inside the required location for presence recording or for different applications. The E.C.S. Platinum MIFARE system can be installed on all vending machines operating with MDB, BDV, Executive protocols and electromechanical machines and it enables to program 100 sales prices in Price Holding configuration, Cost-by-Price or, alternatively, to manage sales prices directly in the vending machine.
Protection functions enable Platinum to protect the safety of operators and customers; it is also possible to programme numerous functions aimed at ensuring maximum user satisfaction and loyalty, such as running discounts, bonuses and promotions, also with differentiation by key category or by time of day. Accounting data readings, in EVA-DTS format, can also be made using either the integrated IR interface in the Card reader or by using the optional IR PORT Module.
The MIFARE Card reader in the E.C.S. Platinum MIFARE system reads the STANDARD or CLASSIC types of MIFARE cards; it is also able to use Coges service keys for programming, firmware updating and data recording. Both the system itself and the reader are made of self-extinguishing material.
The formatting of MIFARE user cards is possible thanks to appropriate Master cards supplied by Coges and the K4U MIFARE terminal.
